This mom had her 3rd vback birth. She was so calm and smiling the whole time! Her and her husband were making little jokes throughout the labor to keep her distracted, it was so cute. Here’s what she wrote about her birth.
“Even before you see your baby for the first time you know them. They have a personality all their own, and as they move around, sharing a tight space, you can already sense it. Some are feisty and difficult, others sweet and easy going. I was a mother of three when I found out she was on the way and I was busy. She cooperated for 39 weeks and her birth was no different.
I Knew from the moment I woke up that it was the day. She was going to be born today. Unfortunately for her, we had plans. My husband and children were all involved in events and I did not want them to miss out. She and I waited patiently. I enjoyed, as best I could, coffee with a friend and breathed calmly through contraction after contraction. Finally, the event was over and it was time. My husband breezed down the highway in a borrowed mustang and walked me into the hospital. By the time I was examined I was quite dilated but my baby girl continued waiting patiently for all the paperwork to be done. The surges became intense but I remained calm and so did she. My goal was to avoid any medication and to deliver her faster than her older sister (3 pushes). It took 6 before she made her appearance. To feel her sweet, warm body and hear her little cry made me so happy!”
My name is Alanna ~ like Atlanta but without the t’s. I’m following my dreams and doing what I love! I’m bringing my two passions together; photography and birth. I’ve always loved photography, there’s something about capturing life’s most precious moments and telling a beautiful story without saying a single word that makes it so rewarding. After having two girls, I saw how miraculously beautiful pregnancy and births are and wanted to capture that beauty for others. I want to show people the beauty, strength, and love that go into bringing life into the world through birth photography.
