Ty Pentecost Photography spent the day with this beautiful couple to capture the baby bump of little Maddox. A gorgeous, glamorous baby bump shoot with a stunning purple gown from Sew Trendy Accessories and a soft sweater dress from Pink Blush Maternity!
How did you find out your were expecting?
I was feeling off for about a week and while my husband was away for the weekend something told me to take a pregnancy test; POSITIVE!
How did you tell the father?
After I made him dinner the following evening I made some hot chocolate for dessert using a pregnancy mug I had purchased from etsy. As he finished the hot chocolate the words, “We Are Pregnant!!!” appeared. I was so happy to finally be able to tell him!
Did you find out the gender of your baby?
Yes, we wanted all the help we could get!
Is there a name picked out yet?
How has pregnancy changed you as a woman?
Honestly, I feel like I haven’t changed that much. Aside from the physical appearance of being pregnant, I am still very much me. I will add that this motherly instinct kicked in as soon as I knew I was pregnant though.
What advice do you wish you had known before getting pregnant ( even if it’s something gross)?
To stay active because labor was like running a marathon! Stamina, Stamina, Stamina!
What is one thing you find beautiful about being pregnant?
Even though my body is changing every day, it is a daily reminder that I am nurturing this precious life inside of me.
What would you tell someone who just found out they were pregnant?
To cherish every moment because it goes by so fast. Try to document each month with photos of your belly because as crazy as it sounds you will miss being pregnant.
Can you share with our mommies where you purchased the items you wore for your maternity session?
The purple dress was purchased at sewtrendyaccessories.com and the dress is called the Audrey gown. The knit one was from pinkblushmaternity.com(I highly suggest buying maternity clothes from this website, great price and product!)
Words about your photographer?
From the moment we met her she made this experience special. Everything felt natural and it honestly didn’t feel like a photo shoot. She had no idea we were going to go to a hike to get these shots and was completely down for anything. She was a great director and really made us feel like we were alone, making us comfortable enough to show just how intimate we could be as a couple. I could not recommend her enough to all my pregnant friends and we just wrapped up our newborn shoot with her and could not be happier!

Hi Nice to meet you! My name is Tyrenda and I am the owner and principal photographer at Ty Pentecost Photography. I work based on connections, whether it be a romantic connection or the connection of family. I enjoy capturing the love people share with each other. I am based in the Greater East Bay of CA and I feel I couldn’t have a more amazing backdrop for photography. From the gorgeous golden deserts, rolling hills and mountain, to beaches with enormous crashing waves. I love the choices we have to capture your special moment. I fell in love with photography years ago and enjoy traveling all over CA as well as internationally to capture your lovely day. When I am not meeting with one of my amazing clients, you can find me at a football game with my awesome hubby Craig, and my little man Todd. Although he is looking me eye-to-eye now, so he is not that little! We keep a super busy schedule and when we are not running around town, we are home playing with our chocolate labrador, Samson and our sassy Maltese, Charlotte. I often wonder how in the world I got into this, lol. I was a super jock athlete who competed in the discus and hammer for Fresno State, and I was more likely to enter a female football league then pick up a camera, but when my son started sports I immediately know that my iPhone just couldn’t capture the action. I am so glad I bought my first camera because it has brought me so much joy and a new course in life.
