There were 10 adults, and 6 kids ranging from 10 years-10 months old in this session. I could feel this family’s love for one another. They have been through a lot; but I could tell (even though I only spent 2 hours with them) that they were a team. William, the father, had been in a horrible motorcycle accident 16 years ago which left him partially paralyzed with brain damage. He is fully reliant on the help of his family members. The sons carried his wheelchair from location to location, and picked his body up and moved him when they wanted standing pictures. For a minute, I got uncomfortable while they were moving him, feeling as though I was watching/seeing something personal and private. But that was just me feeling awkward. They are completely used to that! Helping, and coming alongside their father/spouse is second nature to them. And not only second nature, but also a pleasure to serve and help him. It was beautiful, you guys. I know it’s an everyday thing for the family, but for me to witness; it was beautiful. – Leah Dorr Photography
Leah Dorr Photography combines my two passions- people and photography. My approach to photography is relaxed, and fun. Whether photographing children, families, couples, weddings, or individual portraits; my focus involves you just being you! I encourage all my clients to be themselves; whether serious or silly, loud or quiet. I want your experience to be an easy, fun, and special one. My favorite images have always been the ones that capture the personality of those I photograph.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m spending time with my family and friends! I’m married to an awesome guy named John, and the mother of two spunky and sweet girls named Avery and Lucy.
