As soon as we saw these Lovely Mommy & Me Photos by Dawn May Photography, we fell head over heels for this adorable duo and we knew you would too!
From mom Emily
Motherhood has taught me how to love in a way I didn’t know was possible. It’s taught me to savor every moment with not only my children, but all of those that I love.
My husband- Clif, daughter- Norah (2-almost!), son- Oliver (4mo.), and dog-Charleigh make up our little family.
We’ve yet to establish a family tradition since my oldest is not even 2 yet! But look forward to building those traditions as a family.
Favorite family vacation would have to be our recent trip up to Sequoia! We spent two nights and 3 days in a cozy little cabin far away from everything and everyone. We had zero cell service or Internet. So we truly go to spend genuine time together experiencing the goodness of family.
Advice. I’m still learning and will forever be learning! But I guess what stands out the most would be to just let loose, be flexible, and have fun with your kids! The days are long and the years short. So savor even the hardest times with your littles. When you’re up in the wee hours of the morning for a feeding, rejoice that you’re up because you have a healthy babe in your arms who just needs to eat. It’s all going to be ok. You’re always doing better than you think you are.
Beauty must haves. (1)Dry shampoo, cause who’s got time to wash their hair? But seriously, who? (2)Rocco+Norah mama turban, for those bad hair/mom bun days (I live in mine). (3)Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation with SPF (all-in-one!) (4) Mama+Little teether necklace. (5)Lipsense (lipstick regimen) perfect for kissing all over your babes without leaving lipstick evidence. So.many.colors!!!
Dawn was such a joy to work with. She’s fun, creative, and is amazing with kiddos! She has such a big heart and is so kind. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her!!

Meet Dawn of Dawn May Photography
I am originally from upstate NY, but have lived in Carmel, CA for the past ten years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from LeTourneau University in good old Texas. I married the love of my life, Nathan, and we now have two beautiful daughters. I have always loved photography and the ability to get creative and still work with people. I was always considered the girl who took too many pictures in junior high and high school (back when film was our only option). It’s something that I just cannot get enough of sometimes! I am honored to call myself a photographer and to have the privilege of working with people who want to capture life’s big and small moments. As a mom and a wife, I am always trying to capture those sweet times with our family and the best way to do that is with a picture. My desire for your session is to meet your specific goals for pictures, whether that includes a formal session or a more candid approach. My sessions are relaxed, natural, and I like to have fun with my clients! I hope to have the opportunity to photograph you and your loved ones. Although it is my job, I am very passionate about photography and love when I get that perfect shot. I use professional Nikon equipment and do all of my editing on my 27″ iMac. I have taken a photography class previously, but consider myself mainly self-taught. I have completed a Photoshop CS5 class and attended Jessica Feely Photography’s Senior Portraits workshop. I am currently a member of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America). I am so thankful that God has blessed me with the gift of photography.
