Questions for client:
How has motherhood changed you as a woman?
Well let’s put it this way. Before I had my kids, the word responsibility meant getting to work on time and Go to the gym. Now it means guiding, feeding, teaching, protecting two little ones, completely dependent on me for everything. And while it takes every morsel of my effort and energy to do it all day everyday, there’s nothing else in the world that makes me happier. Motherhood has also definitely made me put things into perspective! Motherhood has actually calmed me down. I don’t worry about the little things anymore. You realize how unimportant some of the things are that you used to stress about. Now that I am a mother, I know what truly makes one happy and that is the loved ones in your life. I feel like I am living my life all over again through my son and daughter and I get to experience the things I did as child again. All the sudden life is fun in a different way all over again.
Tell us a little about your family?
My family is the reason I wake up everyday and what I live for. I have been happily married for the past 12 years to an amazing man whose unconditional love towards me and kids has left me speechless and I feel pretty darn lucky about it. I have two beautiful children who i can’t even imagine my life without. My son Ayan is 5 and his sister Ayleen is 2.5 years old. My family and I live in Lone Tree Colorado and feel very lucky to call this beautiful state home. Ayan will start kindergarten in a few weeks and he will be attending a charter school and we are all beyond excited. Sine I am Persian both of my kids are multi-cultural, bilingual kids who understand Persian. Ayan speaks both Persian and English fluently. Ayleen understands both languages but prefers to respond in English. Family time is very important to us and even thou Ayan and Ayleen are toddlers we still try to include them in everything and they love it.
What is one family tradition you have raised your children with?
One family tradition that I have raised my kids with is that everyone goes to bed at the same time and no one goes to be sad or angry at each other. We give each other individual hugs and one BIG FAMILY hug or as my daughter Ayleen says it “Felony hug” and that makes all of us happy and we go to bed with a smile on our faces. I will do my best to keep this tradition for as long as I can (at least until the time they are living with us).
Favorite family vacation?
Anywhere that is tropical we love. We try to plan to go to a tropical island every other year and my kids absolutely enjoy playing by the beach and for now Maui, Hawaii is our favorite vacation spot.
What advice would you give new mothers about raising children?
Be very Patient and never forget that your little ones love you unconditionally. Always try to look at the big picture and not just your present circumstances. Be very flexible and grow. Don’t forget to be good to yourself, accept the mistakes of yourself and your children. HAVE FUN and rediscover the child within you!
What are your beauty must haves as a mom?
My beauty routine has changed drastically since I’ve had children. I used to spend hours at the store buying so many different kinds of products to test out and have fun with at home. Now that I am a mom, my priorities have changed a little bit.
Number one — Lip Moisturizer, Colorado is very dry so in every purse, my office, bedroom I have one Lip Moisturizer. Second one — Sunscreen. I always pick one that’s good for me and my kids so I don’t have to use a kids’ sunscreen that makes me break out because it’s too heavy. The third must-have would be Baby Wipes. I use them to keep my hands clean when I’m out and about, and they’re also good for wiping your face after a workout so you don’t break out. They are also great for makeup removal. My last must-have is Water — in theory, but I don’t drink as much as I should. All of these things are things you both can use.
Pixels By Angel Photography
Since I was a child, I have taken photographs of everyday moments and small happenings in life and assembled the photos chronologically into albums. I have always loved taking pictures because Photography allowed me to freeze moments in time, making it possible to cherish them for years to come. I attended University of Colorado and that time I was so into technology and computers and got Master Degree in Computer Information System and Web Design. After working in management and computer fields I knew right away this is not the right path for me. In 2010 I turned to my husband and I told him I want to follow my dream and do what I love and truly enjoy “Photography”. Without any hesitation he said let’s do it and ever since we became a husband and wife photography team and we shoot weddings together. I am a self thought photographer with a few photography courses and couldn’t be happier to turn my passion into a career. Why wedding and portrait photographer? I am so thrilled that I get to do what I love and that allows me to explore my creativity while documenting significant moments in my client’s lives. Every wedding that I attend and do a photo shoot, I learn something about life, love and relationships. It is an honor to witness and document emotions and I feel so lucky and I am grateful everyday to have such a fulfilling job. My clients typically book me for their weddings, then continue to return as they start a family. That’s my favorite. Nothing holds a memory like a photo and nothing makes me happier than capturing the special moment.
