Tell us about your design process. Did you start with one central item or idea that served as your inspiration? Our daughter’s name is Paisley Grace so we wanted to integrate paisley print. I am from the beach so I absolutely love bright bold colors and when I saw this design paired with the teal and bright pink I was in heaven and knew that was what she had to have!
What was the most important thing you wanted to achieve when creating this space? I wanted to create a space where it was fun, girly, and something she could grow up with. I love the baby themes and princess decor but wanted something to where we could keep it for awhile without needing to change it due to her age.
Now that the accent walls have dried and bedding is neatly tucked, what is your favorite thing about the room? My favorite part about Paisley’s room is her window seat! I absolutely love reading books to her in the little nook and she loves looking out the window while standing on the seat, plus lots of gorgeous natural light pours into her room!
What’s the first thing people notice when stepping foot into this room? I would say just all the brightness and color is the first thing people notice once they walk into her room. It is so bright and airy and everyone raves about how girly and sweet it is.
If you had to remove one key item from the room, what would you part with? I dont think I could part with any of the items in her room! We had an 8 lb boxer, Moose who absolutely loved his sister! He would go in and lay on her rug while she was sleeping and just hang out in her room while we were gone during the day. Everything in her room has so much meaning …..especially now knowing he was a part of it all. He passed away when Paisley was 6 months old and everything left a memory for us. I would hate to get rid of any of it, my heart is with it all.
If you could add another item to the room, what would be your first choice? If allowed by my husband I would add another headband stand/holder on her dresser. We have tons of headbands and I am running out of spots to keep them! HA Plus it is so stinking cute!
I am a wedding and portrait photographer based out of Raleigh, NC and available for travel anywhere! I live for sun-flare, love, and joyful couples! I am inspired by laughter, light, and attention to detail. I love being able to capture the warmth between a bride and groom who are head over heels in love. I become invested in your day from the first day we meet, to the very end! My style is romantic, classic, and timeless! We are a husband and wife team, meaning at every wedding you will find us both shooting! This allows for different angles, and different types of photos to be taken. We find out couples love that we work together….we know each others every move!! 🙂
So why should you choose us?? We treat you like a friend! You are not just another client or another wedding to mark off my calendar. We become invested in your day and want nothing more than for you to be able to look back at your photos and remember that special day just like it happened! I love how close I get with my brides and the feel of security they have with choosing me knowing their friend is photographing their wedding not just another photographer! I think whats really important is when I realized how much I loved the feeling of holding that camera in my hand and having the ability to make someone feel beautiful. A couple years ago I started learning how to slow down and appreciate the amazing world around me. Now I celebrate life each step of the way.
