Birth has changed me as a woman, because I’ve realized that in helping to bring life into this world, I have learned how to sacrifice all that I have in order to take care of this precious child.
I wished I would’ve known how much my belly would swell and stay swollen after my c-section, that unlike a vaginal birth, it doesn’t go down overnight.
The significance of the day of their birth, five years to the day of my father’s passing was such a blessing in my life! I prayed my dad would help me during the birth and he did, I felt so much peace, it was like an out of body experience to have my twins.
My top three must have birth items are 1) deodorant 2) a brush 3) nightgown for after you feel good enough to shower again.
Birth is such a spiritual experience for me, as I said earlier, my dad sending me peace on that day. It’s beautiful and surreal, especially when you hear your baby’s first cry.
I would tell someone that found out that they were pregnant that it will be hard, but choose to be happy even when you don’t feel well, and it will help so much. Relax.
My beauty-must haves while pregnant were, long stretchy t-shirts, flat comfortable shoes (if you have narrow feet buy some wide shoes instead to help with swelling) and capris and pants with the maternity bands attached.
