How did you find out you were expecting?
I think as many other women, by taking a pregnancy test.
How did you tell the father?
I decided to invite the father to a restaurant for a dinner. In the middle of our restaurant experience I asked him to check his napkin on our table where he found the pregnancy test. The celebration was continuing till late night with lots of sparkling wine!
Did you find out the gender of your baby?
Yes, we did. It’s a girl!!!
Is there a name picked out yet?
Yes, we picked the name. Her name is Sofya!
How has pregnancy changed you as a woman?
Once you realized that you are expecting a baby you know it’s a new exciting adventure on its way as a Mummy!
What advice do you wish you had known before getting pregnant (even if it’s something gross)?
I’m sorry but I can’t think about any advice really.
What is one thing you find beautiful about being pregnant?
The beauty of pregnancy is the changes with your body and the miracle of the growing baby inside you!
What would you tell someone who just found out they were pregnant?
Enjoy your special moment in your life!
What are your beauty must-haves while pregnant?
Personally I will recommend to do a few sessions of pregnancy massage and a maternity photo shoot! Every expected woman deserves a special treat!
Can you share with our mommies where you purchased the items you wore for your maternity session?
Oh, my dress for my maternity session was handmade by me with the help of my Aunty. Actually I enjoyed the process of making my dress.
Kind words about your photographer?
It was our second session with Levien & Lens Photography (Olga) and again we are very satisfied with the result. Olga is professional, easy to work with and delivers a high quality of work. This time we used a professional photographer to capture special moment in our lives (maternity photos). We would like to thank you Olga for your outstanding job and happy to use your service in the future.
I’m Olga Levien, a New Zealand award winning lifestyle | wedding photographer, wife of a handsome kiwi husband and Mama of 2 beautiful babies – prince William and princess Anna-Bella.
I am originally from Saint-Petersburg, Russia and met my husband overseas in Europe. The next thing I know, we moved to New Zealand (a very beautiful country with wild nature and a great lifestyle). Our two babies were born one right after the other (that was the plan!). They are so gorgeous and active. Yes, they can be a nightmare sometimes, but I love every moment with them. I trying to capture all these moments in my 365 Project.
My past teaching experience helps a lot with organizing my sessions, I earned a PhD and was a lecturer at University. I am a people person, I love to talk and make everyone relax, even in hectic moments!
When I was little I dreamt about:
• travel – and now I live in Hobbit country and I am happy to travel around for destination weddings!
• being a figure skater – I started to learn figure skating when I was 25 and can do jumps and spins now – all things are possible if you really want them to happen!
• history – going back in time to explore and experience different time periods and wear beautiful dresses – now I love to create these artistic moments with my camera, no limits for imagination!
I love storytelling, capturing all the raw emotions, seeing moments of both laughing and crying. These are such treasured memories – everyone deserves to have their story told in images that speak from the heart! From the first love, to engagement right into the wedding, and then creating a new family with little ones.
My style is artistic, emotional and natural. I love light, black and white, movement, with both contemporary and retro styles!
