A dreamy pastel sky, beautiful flowing gown, and an adorable big sister; the recipe for a truly enchanting session that will last forever.

How did you find out you were expecting?
I took a first response early detector test 8 days before I was supposed to start and it was negative… But then I hadn’t started a week later when I was supposed to so I took another test and it was positive. We wanted a sibling for our 3 year old daughter and we were so blessed.
How did you tell the father?
I actually text him the picture of the test showing the positive results. He was out of town for work and was so excited.
Did you find out the gender of your baby?
Yes, I’m a planner and I wanted to know how to decorate the nursery and also if I needed to get boys clothes or recycle my daughter’s clothes. We found out we were having a boy and were over the moon excited.
Is there a name picked out yet?
How has pregnancy changed you as a woman?
It has made me feel as if I can do anything. It also made me even more nurturing and sensitive.
What advice do you wish you had known before getting pregnant (even if it’s something gross)?
I wish I would have known how hard it is to have gestational diabetes when pregnant, but it was a blessing in disguise because I was forced to eat healthy which was the best for the baby and I maintained a healthy weight throughout my pregnancy.
What is one thing you find beautiful about being pregnant?
I loved being pregnant it is true what they say, you really do glow when you are carrying your child.
What would you tell someone who just found out they were pregnant?
I would congratulate them and let them know that it is truly the most amazing experience and even more amazing when you get to hold your little miracle in your arms.
What are your beauty must haves while pregnant?
I used Bio Oil and Coconut oil on my body every day and didn’t get any stretch marks.
Can you share with our mommies where you purchased the items you wore for your maternity session?
I purchased my dress on Etsy at SewTrendyAccessories it is called the Sara Gown in the color ivory.

Words about your photographer?
Tommie was the sweetest and so amazing at what she does. She was so good with my 3 year old daughter which made the session go so smoothly which is not usually the case with a threenager.
Howdy! I’m Tommie. Just a Texas girl, living in a Cali world (sung in my best 80’s rock, Steve Perry voice). I love to have fun and I’m outgoing, talkative, silly and a little sarcastic. I’ve spent the first ten+ years of my career launching new brands and climbing the corporate ladder in the fast paced beverage industry.
During this time, I met my wonderful husband, moved to Cali, got hitched and had a darling baby girl.
I have fully embraced the laid-back Southern California vibe and now call myself a “Texicalian” –sweet & southern with a “no worries” side.
From the days spent holding my Mom’s sleek Vivitar, to the digital age, I’ve always had a camera in hand. I love nothing more than capturing a precious moment in time and allowing a family to cherish it forever. Photography has always been my passion and I was blessed that my “day job” and the grace of God allowed me to continue learning and perfecting my art while giving me a much needed creative outlet.
In 2012 I was able to fulfill my dream by combining my business experience with my creative passion and begin my Journey in what is now Tommie Cochrum Photography (80’s rock pun intended).
I specialize in natural light and studio photography – capturing moments from maternity, the miracle that is a newborn and a family’s love for one another.
I embrace every precious moment from growing bellies to growing families! Having a weakness for sun infused images, I will always suggest on scheduling your session around golden hour to achieve my style of a dreamy and naturalistic feel.
My sessions are casual and relaxed and always full of laughter. Professional photography is an artistic investment with your family as the subject. There are few things in life that are more closely held to our hearts than photographs of our loved ones.
Being a mother and starting a family has helped my redefine my view of photography and what it means. The Cliché saying is all too true, they are only little for so long and time goes by much too quickly. My mission and hope as a photographer is to provide you with priceless keepsakes and treasured memories captured in time.
