Words from the mother:
May 13 – they arrived 5 weeks early on April 6!
My husband was on a boys trip for the weekend and I took a pregnancy test while he was away. When he got home I waited until after dinner and sprung the news. We were both really surprised and excited at the same time. The big surprise came later at my 1st OB visit when the doctor told me I was expecting twins! When I told my husband that news… he actually thought I was just messing with him. I think the surprise (panic) in my voice convinced him that I was pretty serious! Haha.
Both boys! My future looks very… busy.
We named the boys Eli and Euan. They both have the same middle name it is a family name from my mom’s side, Ward.
Changed me as a woman… let me count the ways! One of my best friends said to me after I had my first… there is a softness to you since you’ve become a mother… which I can feel. More patience, love, ultimately more down to earth and in tune.
The advice I wished I had been told prior to pregnancy is that “mom shaming” is real and don’t listen to it!!!!
You are making life… there is nothing more beautiful and precious than that. I loved my belly and the movement of life
I would tell them that all the cliches are true!!! Even if it’s annoying to hear for the hundredth time that time will go by so fast, get your sleep now, etc etc. ALL. TRUE. And buy the book The Baby Whisperer… it will save your sanity.
Bio Oil for stretch mark prevention, Dry shampoo for those tired days, face and body moisturizer to keep my skin from drying up
Love love love my maternity dress. I bought it from Sew Trendy.
Brooke was amazing to work with! She captured the most precious memories for my family to reflect on for many years to come.
My name is Brooke and I am a wedding and family photographer based out of Vancouver, BC. I am a wife, mother of two busy, silly boys, Disney fanatic, and a Starbucks lover. When I am not working, I can be found hanging out with my 3 boys. We love vacationing or going out on day trips to some of the amazing attractions Vancouver and the surrounding areas offer. Movie nights are also a huge thing in our house. Cuddling on the couch with big bowls of popcorn and special treats are a great way to spend a Friday night!!
I am so passionate about photography and am so blessed to be able to capture such amazing moments in people’s life. How lucky am I that everyday I can enthusiastically say, “I love my job!”
