Due date? January 12, 2016
How did you find out you were expecting? My husband and I were away in St. Augustine, Florida, celebrating his 30th birthday, and I began feeling different – mainly just exhausted! That evening my husband suggested we buy a pregnancy test… so we did. J
How did you tell the father? It was the next morning, and I woke early to try the test. We sat there together, on pins and needles, awaiting the result. Sure enough… positive!
Did you find out the gender of your baby? Yes, we opted to do an early sonogram to find out the gender.
Is there a name picked out yet? Yes, we named our son: Declan.
How has pregnancy changed you as a woman? I am all the more in awe of how God created our bodies. Carrying our son and bringing him into this world was truly miraculous!

What is one thing you find beautiful about being pregnant? There was such a joy that came with pregnancy that I couldn’t help but wear. This joy and the anticipation leading up to our son’s birth was unlike anything else I’d known before.
What would you tell someone who just found out they were pregnant? Hold on to expectations loosely. There are so many different experiences with pregnancy, birth, etc. Enjoy your time pregnant, for it is uniquely yours, and make the most of the season.
What are your beauty must-haves while pregnant? Hands down: Palmer’s Tummy Butter (with soothing lavender). It smells absolutely delicious, and no stretch marks – yay!
Can you share with other mommies where you purchased the items you wore for your maternity session? My dress was bought through: www.pinkblushmaternity.com
Kind words about your photographer? Stephanie Crofton of Darin Crofton Photography was wonderful! We were so impressed with her creativity and keen eye for capturing beautiful images. Her husband, Darin, did a fabulous job with the editing. Of course, we asked them to take Declan’s newborn photos as well… can’t wait to see them!
As husband and wife, and partners in photography, we compliment one another, yet are unique in our own special way. Together, we bring thoughtfulness, personality, and fun to our sessions, and are able to capture creative, quality photos through our photo-journalistic style.
