How did you find out your were expecting? I found out on my husband’s birthday. We had been trying for a while, so I was really in tune with my body when things were the same–really what told me was that my lower back was in so extreme pain
How did you tell the father? My husband was there when I did the test. This was something that we always did together; he said he already knew!
Did you find out the gender of your baby? We did find out the gender as I am a planner. I thought it was a boy and my husband thought it was a girl–he was right!
How has pregnancy changed you as a woman? Pregnancy has shown me how incredible a body can transform. I kept really healthy and was at the gym until around 7 months. I felt most beautiful pregnant.
What advice do you wish you had known before getting pregnant? Don’t have any expectations, realize your body will change but also realize that it is a beautiful thing, cherish the process because it goes by so fast! Also flaunt that belly; it’s beautiful!
What is one thing you find beautiful about being pregnant? Having a baby grow inside of you! When you are pregnant you literally glow with beauty because of that life slowly growing in you.
What would you tell someone who just found out they were pregnant? Enjoy all the different phases and steps and let everyone do everything for you-this will be the only time most people will offer to put shoes on for you! Lol!
What are your beauty must haves while pregnant? Anything empire waist, tight around the belly, and dresses! Only wear dresses!!!
Can you share with our mommies where you purchased the items you wore for your maternity session? The dress I wore was from Forever 21.
Kind words about your photographer? Linda was a great photographer to work with! She knew exactly what she wanted from the photo shoot and all we had to do was show up! I highly recommend taking maternity photos so you can look back at them with your baby!
I’m a portrait photographer in Gatineau, Canada. I’ve loved photography since I started shooting fashion shots of my Barbie dolls when I was a kid, so it was quite natural that I ended up graduating from college in photography. I love portraiture because I can interact with people and capture sincere expression in their faces. I photograph newborn, maternity, cake smash, family and children’s photography. I understand how photos are so important because years from now it will be the photos that bring back those wonderful memories for people. I consider portraits as photographic heirlooms.
