Every pregnancy is a gift. Even so in the case of loss. My family and I know this to be true as we have suffered the loss of our two boys in pregnancy. Kohlson Ryan Mills on April 29, 2015, and Daylin Parker Mills on February 4, 2016. Tragedy struck us to the very core we were absolutely broken. We turned to the Lord for our strength and praised God through the storms. But you see our Heavenly babies changed our lives and saved my life. We are now expecting our Rainbow baby. After every storm, there is a rainbow and our sweet Kohen Chase is our blessing from God. After suffering through loss it’s so hard to stay positive and not worry. For me, as a mommy of two beautiful children and two Heavenly baby boys, I am praising God for every moment. This pregnancy I have prayed more than I ever have and praised even more than that. You see I am thankful for every heartbeat, every movement, I’m even thankful for the heartburn and my aching back its all part of having my little Blessing. Our family is over the moon about how abundantly Blessed we are.
How did you find out you were expecting?
I started feeling sick but didn’t even think of being pregnant as a possibility at first. So I just let it go I kept thinking there’s no way. Well after a few weeks still upset tummy I decided to get a pregnancy test just to rule it out before I went to my doctor. Well it came back positive. I was so happy and yet so absolutely terrified I could not go through another loss. I cried and prayed. Surrendering all to God. My husband as well as our children began to pray over this baby from then until now.
How did you tell the father?
I showed him the test. He wrapped his arms around me. His love has been my anchor.
Did you find out the gender of your baby? Is there a name picked out yet?
Yes we are having a baby boy. His name is Kohen Chase Mills.
How has pregnancy changed you as a woman?
My pregnancy has changed me as a women by opening my heart to share my story to other women who have suffered loss. We call ourselves Hope Mommies. But it is my hope to offer encouragement to never give up hope after a loss. God is writing my story to share hope and love. My rainbow is the blessing of that hope come to fruition.
What advice do you wish you had known before getting pregnant (even if it’s something gross)?
To know all your risk factors. I felt that since I already had two children that I knew all my risk factors. But talking to your doctor about your fears or things you might not understand is never a bad thing before becoming pregnant.
What is one thing you find beautiful about being pregnant?
The absolute beauty is to feel every movement watching my ever growing tummy dance as he kicks and glides his arms across. To hear his heartbeat is pure musical joy. Such a beauty to treasure.
What would you tell someone who just found out they were pregnant?
That they have been given a gift and to cherish every moment.
What has been the hardest part of pregnancy?
I am a high risk pregnancy. The hardest part for me is all the uncertainty. As is the case with every pregnancy. You never know what to expect.
Did you have any pregnancy cravings or aversions?
Oh my weakness is spicy food. I crave it and still eat it knowing I will be up all night with heartburn and indigestion.
What are your beauty must-haves while pregnant?
Staying healthy and eating right is important to me. Coconut Oil is also my little secret for no stretch marks, and is great to use on my hair to make it shine and full of body.
Do you have any favorite maternity items you couldn’t live without?
Yes, Mommy-To-Be Tea. It is perfect for replacing coffee.
Can you share with our mommies where you purchased the items you wore for your maternity session?
My season was a gift from my wonderful husband who wanted to surprise me for Valentine’s Day. I was in tears when He gave me this letter from my photographer explaining that my husband had purchased a maternity milk bath session for me. I was so over joyed. After giving it great thought I decided to that I wanted my family to share in my experience. We all suffered through our loss so we all share in our joy. My Maternity session was nothing short of perfect. Our amazing photographer picked the place where my husband and I just happened to have gotten married at. It’s a nature preserve so the views are absolutely breathtaking. The best part is awhile we were in the middle of our session a rainbow appeared. We were all amazed as Orr had not even rained att all. We new that was another Sign from God.

She not only is the very best at capturing the most beautiful and precious moments but then she takes extra time to write a blog about each story. I found this to be such a huge joy. Our images mean that we are so abundantly Blessed.
